Keynotes & Lectures

She has given over 100 public lectures and keynotes at universities, colleges, high schools, companies and embassies across Canada and the U.S. on topics ranging from anti-Black racism and rape culture on campuses, gender-based violence, reporting on Black communities, and the power of personal storytelling. Her most notable keynotes and lectures include The Knight Lecture at the University of Manitoba, the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies Conference (CAGS-ACES), the Asper Visiting Professor public lecture at the University of British Columbia, Consulate General of Canada in Atlanta and the Viola Desmond Lecture series at Georgia State University in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada. Most notably, she was the opening speaker for Angela Davis, and interviewed both Roxane Gay and Chanel Miller about gender-based violence.  

WorkshopS

She is a skilled and sought-after workshop instructor, leading new, emerging and experienced writers of all professions to craft their voice, whether through memoir and personal essay writing techniques, magazine feature writing, narrative non-fiction, non-fiction book proposal writing, or writing about joy and trauma. She has conducted workshops at universities across Canada as well as literary festivals including the FOLD.

Training

Eternity also provides training to newsrooms and companies ranging from allyship training, reporting on Black communities, and diaspora engagement training.
